This is a good complement for the laptop, can be for a gamer or a regular computer user, I have a nice RGB lighting that gives it a nice look gives. It has 2 USB ports. On the back, one is for powering the pad and the other is for charging your cellphone. There are several buttons on the front, one of which is used to control the light. With this button the color can be changed and a color can be stabilized. If the light bothers someone, you can turn off the light by pressing and holding the light button for 10 seconds. The other +/- buttons are used to control the fan speed. There's also a power off button, which is useful when you're powered from a docking station rather than a laptop, allowing it to be turned off when not needed. I plugged it into my docking station as I don't have a spare port to connect it to my laptop so the power button is handy to turn it off when not needed.
