Review on Gillette ProGlide Shield Power πŸͺ’ Men's Razor Handle with 1 Blade Refill by Yusri ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

Pros: For a long time, I believed that increasing the number of blades was a marketing ploy to increase the cost of products and, as a result, increase costs on the part of the consumer. But unexpectedly for myself, I now consider the Gillette Fusion5 system to be the most successful of the known ones, and I regret that I did not find this out earlier. It's not even about the number of blades. In comparison with the same Gillette Mach3, the swinging cassette is much better suspended here. It is larger in area. The effect is that a slightly larger comb shelf in front of the axis and the first blade allows for a more even distribution of the pressure of the other blades, as well as a greater overall fit length of the cassette, providing the smoothest movement over complex facial reliefs without snagging on anything. This effect is greatly enhanced in the ProGlide Flexball swivel head model and the Gillette Power battery powered eccentric vibrating system that micro-pulls the cutting edges as the bristles are cut, making cutting easier and almost without crunch! And at the same time, the sharpness of the blades lasts longer (tested on Gillette Mach3 Power, which has served me for a couple of decades and continues to serve). A very useful device of the Gillette Fusion5 family of cassettes is the presence of a reverse blade on the upper edge of the cassette for "under the nose shave". And finally - Gillette Skinguard Sensitive cassettes, which have only two blades instead of five (plus one reverse on the top edge), but are equipped with special blue comb inserts instead of missing blades, preventing micro-cuts, which is important for sensitive skin. Never before have I been able to shave smoothly "sharply" against hair growth - bloody dots on the skin and painful irritations followed inevitably. Now I can recommend using (but without excessive fanaticism) the Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power Flexball machine with Gillette Skinguard Sensitive cassettes for a smooth shave with a sensitive type of facial skin. Has cons: I would have preferred a more strict and respectable design without predatory rubber inserts "under the silkworm." There are such options, but they are without the Power function.
