Review on 🍽️ Panasonic NN-SU696S 1.3 cu.ft. Stainless Steel/Silver Microwave Oven by Carl Morgan

We bought these to replace a 20 year old Panasonic microwave expecting the same durability. Looks great, works as expected, 2 months. On a 3 minute cycle, the unit stopped heating after about 1 minute, although the fan might still be running. Then the smell of burning came and I switched off the device. After about 1 minute I plugged it back in and it immediately started sounding like it was working but there was no light on inside and the platter wasn't spinning. The top of the oven was so hot that I burned my hand touching it to move it and unplug it. When we called Panasonic to report the problem they said they would send someone to check. Three days later we received a call and were told there was no service center in San Antonio and they would send us a box to send the oven in for repair. Wait we bought a new oven, if I wanted a refurbished oven I would buy it. They said we didn't buy it from Panasonic so we'd have to settle for a repair or buy a new one to replace it. My kids have an Emerson they bought over 6 years ago and I recommend buying an Emerson. Panasonic sucks
