Review on 🔭 Acouto Dovetail Base: Perfect Mounting Solution for Celestron C8/C925/C11HD Telescopes & SKYRVER Binoculars by Chris Hossain

I bought this mount to mount a StarSense Autoalign dual mount and green laser dot on a Celestron Nexstar 8se telescope. For this to work I not only need a dual/triple viewfinder mount but also an SCT viewfinder base like this product. This product looked good as it had two screws to attach the bracket. Unfortunately I encountered 3 problems while trying to use this product. 1) This base is suitable for easily attaching a dual/triple viewfinder bracket. As a test, however, I tried to install Autosense directly on this basis. This base is too small to directly accommodate StarSense AutoAlign. I could only push it halfway through. If I really force it, I might be able to go 2/3 of the way. This isn't really a problem as if I wanted to mount StarSense on the 8se I could use the large StarSense mount to do it directly. But I just want to let other people know if there are other accessories that may not fit because the bracket size is too small. 2) This base comes without screws. If you are using standard 8se screws, chances are the head of the screws is too wide and won't fit in the small groove. You need to buy 8-32 1/2" screws separately. By the way, the screws that some StarSense have go in the groove. -2mm is too small for the Nexstar 8se holes. After one screw is screwed in, the base covers the hole by about 1mm I could probably tighten the screw but I didn't want to damage the threads in the telescope hole Will be returning this base and trying to get another that will work with the Nexstar 8se.
