Review on Progressive International PL8 1000 Mandoline Slicer by Wendy Jackson

After I bought my third mandolin and the handle on the side fell off, I decided to get a guillotine type mandolin instead to buy. I wish I had bought a different style first. Everyone I know has cut themselves on a progressive mandolin at some point, myself included when someone else was using it and when they put it away they left the blade wide open. I didn't realize it as I reached for the cupboard to get it and cut my finger under my fingernail. The healing took weeks. I think guillotine style on the mandolin has to be deliberately trying to cut yourself. Anyway, I will never buy this product again.
