We've had a lot of these apple knives over the years so I'm not new to them. This one is well made, easy to clean (well, just as easy to clean as all the others) and cute (my previous one was grey, which isn't fun at all). It's a good size for even large apples and very comfortable to use (the handles have some silicone or rubber to give them a good grip and are gentler on your hands than plastic ones). Unfortunately, it's not as sharp as it should be. It cuts through the entire center of the apple, but doesn't cut through the skin on the bottom very well; I have to pick it up and pull out the remaining pieces, one by one, until they come loose. Most burrs I've used go all the way to the end, at least when they're new (as they get older, that doesn't go all the way to the end, so I guess they're just not sharp enough). would be a good apple knife if it was a bit sharper. Of course, maybe I just didn't get it sharp enough, e.g. defective, but if they're all like that I'd look at another brand. Unfortunately, this is a handy and beautiful tool.
