Review on πŸ”§ 37015 Monroe Shock Absorbers - Upgraded OESpectrum Shocks & Struts by Mike Krzywicki

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems to be working fine. During installation I noticed a few things.

Seems to work well. I found a few things installing them on a 1996 Ford Ranger. The rubber bushings on the truck look pressed in and I just left them on as the rubber seemed fine. The OEM shocks on the truck had a big nice nut on top that you could grab with a wrench to remove the top nut on the stem. Monroe shocks have a tiny but useless nut that cannot be tightened with a regular wrench. I think you should use a strap wrench, but I had a bike tool that was thin enough to get on the nut. The top nut on the stock shock stem was frozen on one side, but I just clamped the nut in a vise, rotated the top of the shock, and rotated the whole thing. It took a while, but it worked.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not fashionable
