I've tried it on an induction hob which it should be good for. I filled it with water and turned on the heat to boil. Smoke immediately poured from the OUTSIDE of the teapot. I quickly turned off the burner and saw smoke coming out of the bottom seam. I assumed it was burnt oil from the manufacturing process and that's what it smelled like. I carefully turned on the burner, this time leaving it on until the smoke cleared. Then I noticed the bottom border turned RED! I quickly turned off the stove, concerned that either the pot or my stove would explode. That's enough for me! He comes back! This teapot is slightly larger than a large tomato tin with a handle and spout. Inside there is a seam at the bottom that is guaranteed to collect debris and possibly rust. The bottom rim of the teapot is not in contact with water, which is probably why it is red hot. Definitely not worth the money! (even free)
