Review on Headphone Audio Jack Flex Cable Replacement Kit for Samsung Galaxy S7 G930 - E-REPAIR by Dink Rivas

Stereo again!

My Samsung Galaxy S7 only played audio from the left earbud. I've tried compressed air, paperclip tape, and a cotton swab to clean the 3.5mm port, but still no sound from the right side. This replacement headphone jack helped! I'm enjoying stereo bliss again. The replacement part fits really well and seems to be of the same quality as the original (actually I don't think the original lasted too long so hopefully it will be better). warning however. The hardest part of this job is taking the phone apart. There's an ifixit video you can find on google, but be aware that most people won't like this fix. Removing the bonded, fragile glass backing requires a heat gun, suction cup tool, and a couple of pickaxes. Once removed, the rest of the disassembly is fairly easy. Installing this replacement part was literally a breeze. Gluing the back cover on is also difficult because I couldn't find a good replacement adhesive pad. I have already removed the back cover of my phone 3 times (once to remove the cameras, once to replace the battery and now for this job). The truth is that I've never found the perfect solution for gluing the back cover and the water resistance suffers a lot. This is something to consider if you decide to buy this part and do the job yourself. A good decision for me as it is my additional work phone.
