Review on 🚀 High-Performance Timken TRP1559TV Axle Shaft Bearing Assembly: Superior Quality for Optimal Axle Performance by Christopher Kanter

Bought for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee with Chrysler 8.25 axle. The shoulder is too wide and the bearing does not sit flush with the end of the axle tube. Feel within, there is an equal distance where the within has not reached the stage. The only way to reattach the C-clamps to the other end of the axle is to put a large C-clamp onto the axle flange and tighten until you almost crush the outer gasket, and even then the C-clamp has to be threaded. The chances of removing the axles again without cutting the clamp seem to be nil. With an internal seal, you can't pull these bearings back out without destroying them. Googling for the fact shows that there was some sort of design change and either those broad shoulders are old stock that should be pulled and replaced, or new stock that wasn't made correctly. It could have been a great product with a little more attention to the manufacturing specs. My Jeep is 18 years old - of course I'm not the first customer with this problem. So far the fit of the rollers themselves is good with no visible leaks but I doubt how long that will last. If I had measured I could put the bearings on my lathe and cut the shoulder to the correct thickness - lesson learned. To be honest, I expected more from Timken. If you look at pictures of repair camps similar to National's, you'll see that they have the correct shoulder width. Timken's shoulder is not visible in photos.
