Treatment of an old dress with a new color :)

Have you ever had a situation where things accidentally faded and became an indeterminate color during washing? Or just white linen has become gray over time and is no longer bleached by anything? Or put a stain on your favorite dress that categorically refuses to wash? Or does black clothes fade and become faded? Personally, I have repeatedly encountered such problems. After that, things can no longer be worn, but it is a pity to throw them away. You won’t even go home, for example, in a dress with a stain :( As a result, things patiently waited for their fate in the far corner of the closet, often turning into rags ... About a year ago I learned about the possibility of dyeing clothes with a special paint for fabrics. I found it very interesting! It's great that things can be given a new life in a new color for them! If you're interested, you should give it a try :) I found out which paint is most often used for these purposes. It turned out to be paint for dyeing clothes and fabrics Simplicol of the German manufacturer Brauns-Heitmann GmbH. It so happened that I associate Germany with quality products. And I decided that this paint is worth buying. I made an order via the Internet. I really liked that when ordering from 1000 rubles, delivery is free of charge :) It was not difficult for me to place an order for this amount. One pack of paint for cotton, weighing 750 grams, costs 380 rubles. There are also small packs of underwear paint. I ordered blue, blue and black paint in large packs, as well as red-pink and black in small packs. They delivered everything to me without problems in a clearly specified time frame. I brought the paint home, but I still didn’t dare to open it :) it’s scary: what if the machine gets painted? Or will I completely ruin my clothes (although much worse?)? I think, let it lie, the shelf life is still 4 years. But the approach of heat made me take the risk. For 2 years now I have had my thin cotton white dress lying idle. I bought it in August 2012 and only wore it a few times. Then the summer ended and I put the dress away until the next season. However, in 2013, he was not destined to become useful, because out of nowhere there were yellow spots on him :( Why didn't I try to remove them! I used various powders, soap (both laundry and antipyatin), stain removers, even bleach (Whiteness). Everything is useless :( I didn’t wear it, but I didn’t throw it out - the dress is long, but very light. The skin breathes in it, it is well ventilated. For walks in the park - what you need! So I decided - I'll paint it! With yellow spots, I still won’t wear it, but here - I wasn’t! The paint box is very informative, as there is no additional instruction. The paint is suitable for natural fabrics - cotton, viscose, linen and mixed (so that synthetics are no more than 50%!), So that the color is uniform, durable and does not wash out during subsequent washings. It is indicated that the paint is harmless to the body and the machine, contains fixing salt and does not require additional "fixers". I open the box of paint - there is a bag in it. I did everything as indicated in the instructions. The pack is designed for clothes weighing 600 grams, or 1 dress, as clearly indicated on the paint box. I chose blue for the dress. I imagined a pale blue, heavenly hue (it’s not harmful to dream :), although in the sample example the color is closer to blue. The dress was laid out evenly in the washing machine. I put a bag of paint on top, after cutting off the top edge from it. I installed the machine for washing colored clothes (it runs at a temperature of 30%). And launched without adding anything else! However, I still put an extra rinse. After the machine assured the washing program (the dress was already blue), I put the wash on the same program again, only added washing powder and removed the paint bag from the machine. After washing, I take out the dress, it turned out to be a very saturated color, however, not the one I imagined for myself. The color is almost blue, closer to cornflower blue. What I really liked was that the coloring was basically uniform - no streaks and non-paints, not counting 1) seams ... But it turned out with a pattern :) As if it was intended :) And, 2) spots! What was important for me was that no spots were noticeable! However, the spots, apparently due to the destroyed tissue structure in these areas, remained as spots, only blue, and therefore less noticeable - just a slightly different shade of blue turned out in their place. At the same time, on a blue background, these shortcomings are not as conspicuous as on a white one. Only if you look closely. In motion, nothing is noticeable at all. Moreover, the dress on the hem (where there are spots) is folded, which further masks the annoying spots. Also, where the cotton was denser, with a pattern, the color turned out a little darker. Which also, in my opinion, does not spoil the overall appearance. So now you can wear the dress at least to the park for a walk! Only now the belt will have to be changed :) It came with a turquoise belt (it looked very good with a white dress), but now a white belt is more suitable here, in my opinion. I’ll also add some white beads or earrings and a bright summer outfit for park walks is ready :) I was satisfied with the result. The dress is like new! I did not have any allergic reaction to the newly dyed dress. Everything is fine. The water was clear during washing, I think it shouldn’t shed, although I haven’t washed it again yet. If it suddenly sheds, I will write. The skin, too, of course, is not painted while wearing. What's with the washing machine? The machine was a little painted - more precisely, an elastic band around the rim, I definitely wouldn’t dare to wash the white after the procedure. Therefore, I wiped the glass and the rubber band with alcoholized cotton wool (I don’t know how harmful it is for the car), then I washed the black clothes and only then decided to wash the colored ones. There are no stains on clothes. But white is still scary to wash :) Although, probably, in vain. However, the machine has already been washed. The only pity is that the paint consumption is large. I would like to paint a few things with such an amount of paint, but I don’t want to take risks, my friends say (I haven’t tried it myself), then divorces are possible, but I don’t want to see them on clothes at all. Although the manufacturer notes that by adjusting the amount of paint, you can achieve softer or more saturated shades :) I will gain experience and start experimenting :) But for the first time it’s already good! I lower the rating only for the high consumption and unpredictability of the color. I will not reduce for stains, since this is by no means the fault of the paint. The manufacturer even warns that there should be no stains on clothes ... So I recommend! This paint turned out to be a real salvation for things that have lost their appearance. There are 14 primary colors in the palette. So everyone can choose the right one for themselves. Maybe some will decide on mixing experiments :) And now I have to try to dye my underwear :) I already imagined (dreamer) what new beautiful, sexy red underwear I would have :) Thanks for reading! And good luck with your experiments!
