Considering all of this, it was now accurate as a distance check, and if you had the knowledge of how to pierce it by inserting a locking machine screw with another right angle placed against it in front of your hand, you could use parts from it to Building your own square that can be used as an accurate ruler/square with clean workmanship just for a table but why when there are better squares. If you were my friend and asked me if this is a good product I would say no to save you from the same frustration I went through and wasted gas/electricity/time trying to bring it back. Location.
