Review on πŸŽ₯ HDMI Capture USB Video Capture Card Device - USB 3.0 Grabber Game Capture Recording Box with HDMI Loop-Out - Full HD 1080P60 Streaming and Recording - Windows, Mac OS, and Linux Compatible by Doug Mancilla

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for 4 live feeds then failed on the 5th

This capture card worked great the first 4 times I used it. I used it with my Panasonic GH5 as a webcam for my Zoom presentations. Using my GH5's output as a webcam has greatly improved the quality of my broadcast. Worked great when I changed the settings in Zoom to 1) 16x9 (widescreen); and 2) Enable HD. There was actually another problem, which was that the video was out of sync with the audio. I fixed this by using my GH5's pistol mic as the audio source (which automatically goes to the same HDMI output on the camera). You can also fix this problem by using something like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and adding an offset to the audio channel. So this is good news. The bad news is that the card wouldn't turn on after the fifth use. Usually it's pretty much plug and play. Once connected, the activity LEDs will light up. My 5th time there are no LEDs. I then redirected the output from the camera directly to the monitor and it worked fine. I've tried all sorts of cable and connector combinations (on my Mac) but it was just dead. (And I just want to point out that yes, it works on a Mac. I saw a review that said it (not working, but that's not for sure. It works fine on a Mac when it works.) I gave it 4 stars for the features and for the overall quality that comes out of it. But had to deduct 1 star due to poor reliability. I'm also two weeks past my Revain return date so we'll see if I can get a replacement. If so, I will update this review.
