I first bought a coffee table and found it very good and it is very easy to set up. Assembly was difficult at best. Something was wrong with all the hardware/latches. After three tries, I decided to take matters into my own hands and revamp it a bit. I cut a toothpick to fit the leg holes so the rod you screw in is much more solid. I also poured glue in the hole. I'll let that dry for a while. Then I apply some glue to the holes holding the locking mechanism, which is tightened with a screwdriver. I put them in, straightened them and let them dry. I then attached the legs to the top and added glue to these holes for fidelity. Eventually it will dry, look good and be strong. I'm glad I bought it as it's a nice little table that goes well with a coffee table. That's just mounting on this was shaky. You may not have these problems. However, it's a good idea to apply glue to any joints of furniture you are assembling as it will make them more durable.
