Review on πŸ“€ 9-Inch Portable DVD Player by Sony - DVP-FX950 (2009 Model) by Chase Hosea

Exceptional DVD player

I don't think it's possible to rate the product until a few months after use. Having said that my 4 year old daughter uses this device and so far it has been exceptional in picture quality, sound and last but not least battery life. Sony claims a battery life of 7.5 hours, but it's actually around 5 hours with normal use. We come a lot so I need to entertain my daughter. The exceptional battery life means I don't have to charge it between each use. I haven't charged this device for three days and I love it. With my previous device, I sometimes forgot to charge it at work, leaving my daughter bored on the way home from school. With this device I don't have to worry about that. Even for those who don't drive a luxury soundproof car, this device has exceptional speakers. It comes with a nice remote that lets you adjust the volume if your passenger decides to turn it up too loud. The device also has a removable battery. Since Sony doesn't seem to offer any additional battery packs for sale, I don't see any point in this feature. The only thing I don't like about this device so far is that it's bulky and heavy. That's 31.75 ounces (or almost 2 pounds). I know it sounds a little, but if you have other things to pack (especially for travel) you would expect this portable device to be lighter. The device is a little expensive, but the overall quality justifies the price. I'll be sure to update this post if I come across any quality issues that others should be aware of. At the moment my 4 year old daughter loves it and cares a lot: she learned from her previous experience with a cheaper Dynex portable DVD player I bought her a year ago.
