Cutting Critique: These Shears Have Their Edges and Their Flaws

As a hair stylist for over a decade, I was eager to try out the 7" Professional Hair Cutting Shears. Upon first glance, the razor edge barber thinning scissors appeared sleek and durable enough to withstand frequent use. However, after a few weeks of use, I found that the surgical stainless steel blades dulled quite quickly and needed constant sharpening. The shears were also quite heavy and not very ergonomic, causing hand fatigue during long cutting sessions. On the positive side, the thinning scissors worked well for achieving natural-looking layers and texture in the hair. Overall, these shears have their edges and their flaws, making them a mid-range option for personal and professional use.

Pros
  • Excellent for precision cuts and smooth, clean lines, making it a top choice for professional stylists seeking quality and reliability
Cons
  • The razor edge may make it difficult for those new to hair cutting to handle, potentially causing accidental cuts and injuries
