I have c003 2xlt. I'm 5ft 9 inches and I'm a tall build. I ordered a S-XL hood hoping it would match the oversized coat and it did. When I first tried the hood on it was ridiculously high, so I tightened the laces and washed it. It fits perfectly, the shape adapts to the face, doesn't obstruct peripheral vision, the visor protects the face from the rain and it's the right height for my head. It's heavy and warm. Yes, it's tough at first, it's built to last, it softens over time. I gave it 4 stars because nobody ever looks at 5 star reviews
