Need a stronger design

I have owned this rug for just over a year. I agree with another reviewer that the mat should be made of rubber and not plastic. Although I tighten the mat slowly, the front wheel stopper of the mat is wrinkled. There is not enough tape on the mat and the mat moves. I solved this problem by installing four 2-1/2" pan-head Tapcon screws in the pre-drilled holes in the mat and in the concrete floor of my garage. UPDATE: I bought another parking mat and filled the cubes on the bottom with clear resin. (stuff they put on tables at Hooters etc.). It's as hard as a brick and hopefully won't crush like my first rug. In a year or so I will do another update. UPDATE 2.0 September 2014: The hard polymer reinforced parking mat seems to hold up much better than my first mat. UPDATE 3.0 April 2017: Here we are four years later, no cracks or breaks. I think I outperformed the company in their proposed obsolescence replacement plan.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fragile
