It's perfect! I tend to think that small shoulder bags are either just a bag that doesn't need a wallet, or they're too small - just a wallet with a strap that an iPhone could fit, but nothing else. Passport pockets have the perfect structure but are designed to fit under clothing so they don't have the extra storage space I would wish for every day in the city. I needed something to carry my cards and cash in in an organized way, ideally with a quick external pocket that could fit both my phone and some extra stuff like a spare battery, a little sunscreen for travel etc. without much more than necessary to finish. It fits the bill while staying in the small size range I wanted. I think it even fits a small Kindle (big smartphones anyway).
