The stripe was too bright red. The ribbon was patterned. The face was too pretty. You will get an image. This watch is exactly what I wanted in a red watch and I love it. The ribbon has a very nice dark red color. He's definitely red, but not a clown. The white face and gold accents look amazing in contrast. The strap is smooth - I'm not a fan of patterned leather in flowers and it looks great. The clock was set but the knob is very easy to adjust if you need to change the time. The face is gorgeous - the crystals are obvious enough to look very sharp, but not so shiny as to overpower the beautiful simplicity of the design. The band is a bit stiff at first - it takes some time to soften. perfectly comfortable fit but it will be there in just a week and a half so I'm not worried.
