Sounds like "old-fashioned " wheel bearing grease.

I would recommend this lube for 'old' cars or trailers. The label says "Heavy Duty" and from the looks of it I agree. The fat is very thick and sticky. I had a friend who has worked with cars for forty years and recently helped me pack wheel bearings into my old trailer. He said the lube looked and felt like the lube he used twenty years ago. He was impressed. This told me I had made the right purchase.
