don't play mahjong. I bought this mat for playing cards and dice. I researched many gaming surfaces before settling on this one, while I would have preferred a thicker mat, most mats I found were either too big or too small for my desk. This mat is perfect for my 42 inch round table. The corners sag a bit at the sides, but as the carpet is very thin, that's not a problem. I received the mat yesterday and tested it in several games. and my wife and I think it's great. The cards are very easy to take, the dice rolls are quiet, and the neutral color helps you easily identify all the playing pieces. I looked at another rug that had a big, ugly logo printed on it. it, I'm so glad the designers of this rug left it without the lettering.
