Update: The seller contacted me and explained that it was a manufacturer issue and they brought the issue to their attention and fixed it, so it doesn't go away. doesn't happen to others. They have been very helpful and for supporting their product and doing it right I am now completely satisfied. Sometimes things happen that are impossible to predict or control, but the main thing that keeps people coming back is good and efficient customer service. Thanks very much! ________________________________________________ I used to buy ink from other manufacturers and never had a problem with it. Unfortunately, the lucky streak ended with this purchase. I carefully followed the installation instructions to remove the yellow tape before inserting the ink. I closed the lid and got a warning that the magenta cartridge was not recognized. No problem, the instructions said it could happen and I should just use the tissue paper and/or eraser that came with it and try again. SUCCESS this time! He recognized the ink. However, when I tried the test print, the magenta color did not print AT ALL. As if he weren't there. Even a bit of color in the purple patch. Printhead cleaned several times, still nothing. I ran the printhead alignment option - nothing. Left it for a few hours, tried again - nothing. I restarted my printer, uninstalled and reinstalled the ink, checked for clogs - that was the weirdest thing. And magenta ink does NOT dry out! I see ink there when I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I even had ink on my arm. So it's there. I've tried following Epson's troubleshooting ideas (using distilled water on the printer nozzles themselves to clear any possible clogs, etc.) and no matter what I do, the ink doesn't work. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because other inks work well and I know the problem is with my printer. This seems unlikely as everything worked perfectly prior to installing this ink, but I don't have any other inks to test if it works. and I'm not sure I'd want to spend money on a different color if I don't. Maybe I'll just print at a print shop until I can afford a printer with toner. Can I recommend this ink? Probably not, I don't see anyone in the reviews having the same issue, but I don't think I'd be willing to take the risk again. Luckily it wasn't an expensive ink purchase.
