When I decided to upgrade the 2 port USB drive on the front of the box I thought I had a 3.5 inch drive replaced. But it was actually a 5.25" drive in disguise, so the new drive wouldn't fit without an adapter. This was delivered the next day for about the price of a hamburger. It's plastic, but pretty much everything these days. It has a kind of uneven textured matte finish and applies well. It has the standard three holes on the sides, although you only need two. My new drive fit easily into the adapter and all the holes lined up. From cracking my case to zipping, the entire hardware swap took less than 5 minutes to install a new drive.
