I have oily skin. I have problems with the foundation "melting" or dissolving on the skin. I've tried applying this clear primer in a variety of ways. I tried it first with my fingers and then with a brush. Both application methods resulted in too much product on my skin and I had so much oil at the time. Then I applied with a damp sponge: EmaxDesign 3 Pieces Makeup Blender Sponge Set, Foundation Blender Blush Concealer Eye Face Powder Cream Cosmetics Beauty Make up Sponges. latex-free, non-allergenic and odorless. I applied a pea sized amount all over my face and got a lovely matte finish. I also noticed that my laugh line on my mouth was covered in foundation. I usually have to adjust this when checking in the middle of the day. Overall, I'm happy with the longevity of multiple products together. I use Neutrogena Shine Control Broad Spectrum Spf 20 Liquid Foundation, Classic Ivory 10, 1 oz. (the rice powder used to absorb oil feels grainy on the fingertips, but when applied with a damp sponge it goes on smoothly and fills pores). I use NYX Cosmetics Blotting Powder, Light/Medium, 0.29 oz to get the perfect finish. It all works so well together. I also use NYX Liquid Concealer: NYX Cosmetics Concealer Wand, Fair, 0.11 oz. It's taken me a while to find drugstore quality products that work well for my oily skin, but I'm enjoying my current regimen. Although this primer has a silky feel, my application method gives me a matte finish. Thank you for trying this primer!
