The reviews saying this stuff doesn't work are because of application errors. VERY easy to install as long as you follow the directions.The main bedroom in my home gets direct morning sunlight, which is great if you want to want to be woken up every day in the summer at 6am. We have plantation shutters but they don't block the sunlight out very well. I didn't want to hang curtains, so I opted to try this window film. I'm so glad I did! Applying it was easy. Measure your window and cut a couple inches extra. Place tape on the corner of the film, one piece on each side. Remove the adhesive backing. The MOST important part of the application, is to make sure the film and window are VERY WET prior to application. If they are not, you will end up with bubbles. Apply the film, adhesive side to the window. Use the included squeegee to adhere the film to the window. It doesn't take a lot of pressure-pushing too hard will tear the vinyl. Start from the center of window and move outward. Then using the included exacto knife, trim the extra film, and continue smoothing. After the film was applied, we noticed a temperature change almost immediately. The windows with the film were warm to touch, while the ones without were not. I'm interested to look at our Nest thermostat data to see how this affects AC usage. Great product!
