Can't hear anything

I've had them for a while and thought they were paired at first. Nothing since that first day. I tried to connect them again and nothing. These might be good speakers if I can get them to work. I've tried emailing Polk but haven't received a response from them yet. I do not know what to do. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know because they are paperweights right now.
