This is an inexpensive device that connects an audio source to your computer using either red/white audio cables or a 3.5mm stereo cable. It works. While most audio devices will work just fine with a cable, some players may require an additional preamp. The instructions on the box will direct you to a website where you can download the software that works with this device. The software is actually free and open source software that anyone can download. This is decent software that allows you to edit and convert features. The device works as advertised and creates decent audio files from old media on your computer using the software.
