May cause SIDS: Caution

As others have said: too thin/no support. Worse, though, is that it could cause SIDS (!), which we didn't realize until it was here (the pillow is a lot wider than expected). If the baby rolls over on his stomach: 100% guaranteed suffocation (the "hole in the head" is not deep enough to prevent rolling over. If it were, he could snap his neck while trying and as shown in breaking I believe the biggest picture with the boy on his side sleeping on his side (yes imagine rolling onto his stomach - instant suffocation / SIDS) and naively thought it would be a good idea , especially after reading reviews of this and similar products (since the only negatives for some people were "too thin" ), but we discussed this at length with the child's ICU, the staff and everyone absolutely agreed, that such things should NEVER be left in the crib. Learn it. Is it better to use such risky products to avoid a possible flat spot (which can be prevented in any other way), or is their life too precious to risk (especially since k a baby lies perfectly still and turns/squirms even when swaddled)? Questions posted about this product seem to be more related to "toxic chemicals" or "easy cleaning" etc. -- I can't believe nobody thought to ask about the risk of cot death; and honestly I'm surprised that such products are even allowed to be sold without huge warnings posted all over the place (as is the case with most products that can cause SIDS as the manufacturer doesn't want to be sued - but that's the one Difference between "western" products/manufacturers and products made in China (etc) --- good luck suing them if their product kills your baby!) Luckily, returns are free.
