I have a tall 8 year old. I ordered this at 9-10 based on the size chart. I wanted him to have a place to grow and he could use it for more than one season. The design of the cloak is very cute and my son loves it as he is a big fan of dinosaurs. He also likes the soft inside of the coat (fleece lined). The coat fits well on the shoulders, chest and waist, leaving a little free space. Unfortunately the sleeves are too short. They barely reach his wrists, which he doesn't like. This is such a nice lightweight hooded coat. I wish I had ordered a different size.
