Subject: Customer service (lack of customer support) vs online shopping. I know I bought the soundbar directly from this company. Going by some of the reviews I was very skeptical about this purchase. I read so many reviews that contradicted each other. Even more confusing. At this point I decided to look for reviews outside of Revain. Reviews from professionals. I noticed people complaining that when they turn off Dynamic Bass EQ they turn off the system. When they turn it back on, or the system will activate to bring the dynamic bass back to the on position. However, I did not encounter this problem. My settings stay the same. Remember, turning dynamic bass on or off doesn't work right away. This is a transitional process. After the LED blinks twice, it takes about two seconds. Some have commented that they can't hear any difference with the Dynamic Bass EQ on. It always depends on the material being played. For example, if you're listening to material with strong bass lines, you'll immediately notice a change. Not so much when listening to vocals. Unless you listen to James Earl Jones. I like the console configuration. Unfortunately, the skip function is not available. When any source is selected, the system turns on. No need to press power first and then mode. I like the fact that it comes with remote control codes for both universal and wired remotes. I'm also planning on trying to use my Logitech universal remote so Logi should have this product in their database. The Bluetooth connection can be established in two ways. Either via the remote control or the button on the back of the active speaker. The pairing process is simple. After pairing, the speakers will automatically reconnect. If you do not unplug the powered speaker from the outlet. The distance between iPhone (XS Max) (Bluetooth 5.0) is not a problem. My phone could be in the kitchen, forty feet from the speakers in the bedroom. Solid signal, no dropouts. These speakers definitely deliver enough bass at all volume levels. Turn dynamic bass on when listening at low volumes and off when listening at higher decibel levels. If you want the bass to vibrate in the wall I would suggest a subwoofer. Updated 4/4/21. OK, I gave up. I just bought an R-100SW. I think I missed that vibrating bass on the wall. :-) The veneer covering the speaker is a bit unusual. It has wood grain but also waves. And it looks like patches of veneer have been used on each side instead of sheet metal. It's a pity that the loudspeakers consist of a quarter of plastic. The horn is made of plastic, the frame around the woofer is made of plastic. In this price range I expected cast metal. Basically you're paying for a 60 watt amplifier, a range of inputs including a subwoofer, screw terminals and of course audio. Unfortunately, there is no HDMI port. hiss? Yes there is. It's only audible if you position your ear directly in front of the tweeter and midrange or sit directly in front of it. In my setup, my computer is connected to my big screen. This is done three meters from the seat. I connected my turntable to a powered speaker using RCA cables from the turntable. I installed both the player and the active phono speaker. I then switched from line on the turntable to line setup on the active speaker. The sound is stable in every setting. People complain about bad sound quality. This is usually caused by both devices not being set to either line or phono stage. You install one device in the line and the other device is on the phono stage. I experienced this first hand a year ago. When connecting to a Windows PC, there are definitely problems with the USB connection. Microsoft has released generic USB audio drivers. As we have learned in the past, generic drivers do not provide the same functionality as a factory driver. Not all USB devices are created equal. It's about time manufacturers who develop USB devices provide a driver that runs on a Windows PC. Generic drivers seem to work fine with gamers, but only gamers. I took the liberty of testing all connections on the back of the active speaker. Despite driver problems in Windows, everything works as expected. The instructions are made of thick paper. Pictures are clear. However, the text is limited. Klipsch is attempting to serve seven ethnic groups. With manual design, this is not an easy task. Remote control codes for universal and wired remotes are documented. I would like to thank JRSourcing (seller) and Amazon (shipper) for shipping the product to me ahead of time. It is valued.
