When traveling in a foreign country I had trouble finding a place to put my phone so I could see directions and also hear them when using WAZE and Google Maps . When I got home I was looking for a solution that I could leave in my car and just take with me to fit in any car I could rent. The rearview mirror mount works well. I was able to use it on a short trip recently and was happy with its performance. The only downside I can see is that if your phone is really big or very heavy, if the phone is jarred by a big bump, quick braking or acceleration, the mount can come loose. I don't think the mount will come loose, but it can tilt and change position.
