I like the size and the handle. I use it as an intermediate size with my chef's knife and paring knife. A handy size for medium-sized tasks - slicing pineapples, slicing hard cheeses, etc. Certainly suitable for basic tasks for the price. After all, I still buy the higher quality version in this size. BIG Complaint: The damn case is an ER visit waiting in the wings. It is very tight fitting, making it difficult to put on or take off. Worse, cutouts allow you to cut off parts of your fingers if you squeeze them while tightening the sheath. Despite my warnings, my wife did just that. As soon as you open the packaging, discard the sheath and use a knife holder or other secure storage method.
