Pro: Works, small (not) l, white and cute. I will use it for applications that have nothing to do with disk or performance. Cons: I bought it because I thought it might (might!) improve throughput between some external drives (I have fewer USB 3.0 ports on my PC than connected external hard drives) or at least free up some ports on my motherboard, but Performance will be reduced by 18% when using this hub during disk-to-disk copying. Tests: - When disk 1 is copied to disk 2 and both are connected to USB 3.0 motherboard. based on ports I get 2300MB/min. When drive 1 is copied to drive 2, with drive 1 connected to a USB 3.0 port and drive 2 connected to a USB 2.0 port, I get 2300 MB/min. - When disk 1 is copied to disk 2 and both are connected to USB 2.0 ports, I get 2300 MB/min. - Copying disk 1 to disk 2 when BOTH are connected to this hub (and to a USB 3.0 port on the computer) I only get 1900MB/min. (I used a single 3GB file as an example file since I was most concerned about raw throughput for my application). As I suspected, hard drives can't take advantage of the extra bandwidth that USB 3.0 brings, but the real problem is this. Placing it on this hub will actually degrade performance.
