While it mostly fits well and provides moderate compression, the top of these sleeves are really tight, even on my left knee which is much smaller than my right due to loss of muscle tissue after surgery. On my right knee, it was so tight I couldn't keep it on any longer than a few minutes. And no, I don't have overly big quads or knees. Plus, since I had a knee injury and surgery followed by physical therapy, I have other knee compression sleeves, all of which fit just right. So my recommendation would depend on the circumference of your knee. If you have big quads, or a lot of swelling in your knees, either go up a size (which could diminish the overall compression and the help it provides) or maybe go with a different brand.
