The size increase wasn't enough. It's comfortable for me to wear any size 40, shorts or trousers, sometimes I wear a size 38 in oversized. According to the size chart I should have been XL. After reading the review I chose the XXL but it wasn't enough. Of course they sit on the hips (thanks to the elastic waistband) but HERE they are! Maybe it's because I have butts, but they're too small. I could wear them as they stretch but the pockets are open due to the stretch required. If they fit correctly they will probably be insanely comfortable as they are lightweight and allow for a lot of flexibility but I have to return an XXL for a triple X and hope they weren't mislabeled.
