I had a MacBook with magnetic charging ports and loved the quick access to charge the device quickly and the easy access to connect and disconnect the charging cable. This small adapter easily provides this functionality for my iPad Pro. The USB-C connector plugs into the iPad either way, and provides a secure magnetic hold when the other end is plugged in. It stays securely connected to the iPad when the magnetic adapter is removed. The other part of the adapter plugs into my Apple USB-C cable and the LED on it lights up when it's plugged in and charging. I only saw one color, green. Lights up while charging and goes out when not charging. I would have liked more functionality. Turn off the LED when the iPad is fully charged, red while charging, low battery, amber for medium and green when the percentage is higher. The magnetic connections ensure a secure connection and can be separated relatively easily even if the device is not used for a long time. The adapter with LED can also be attached in any direction. I would like the adapters to have a smaller profile, but this can limit the strength of the magnetic field. Magnets take over. Instead of searching for a charging port and risking scratching your device with a plug. This magnetic adapter setup also works with charging my iPad Pro through an attached hub. Like charging my Logitech keyboard.
