As a radio amateur you always need a good inexpensive 12 volt (actually 13.8 volt) power supply for something. And like most people, I have several. I bought this Mean Well LRS-350-12 DC power supply to power my "kitchen" setups, a 50W VHF UHF mobile station and a MURS system that we use around town to supply electricity. I added an on/off switch so we can turn it off when needed and added the necessary power cords, Anderson Powerpoles and RCA Jones for the rigs I use. The voltage is easily adjusted to 13.8 volts, although the potentiometer is a little touchy it's close enough, 13.7 volts. capacity) the output voltage was stable. On-air tests of the device showed that no hum was audible. Someday I'll put an oscilloscope on it to "see" what's really going on. As long as I'm a happy tourist. rudio
