Review on 🧵 Bernette 79: Unleashing Your Creative Potential in Sewing & Embroidery by Denise Davis

I was planning to use the b79 for a few weeks before writing my review. This is a beast of a machine. Much more functionality than I expected. I'll probably never use more than ¼ of his sewing skills. I plan to use it for embroidery a lot more. I'm still trying to figure out how Burnett managed to get such a low price. Here is a list of my likes and dislikes. What I like • Large die-cast aluminum inner frame. • Lots of stitches. • Fast for a consumer car. • Guide the sewing foot. This can be disabled if you don't like it. • Good LED lighting. • It can read multiple types of embroidery files. • It can be programmed to pause during embroidery to trim the ends. • Built-in help menu. You help me but YMMV. Dislike • Snap on the sewing feet. They have nothing mechanical. I just don't like her. • Slow startup time. It's over 40 seconds. It has a big computer inside • Function menus are not very intuitive • Lots of menus to remember • Instruction manual is pretty vague. Find a local retailer who can help you navigate the entire menu. • This is a new model, so accessories are hard to find. Bernina is working on improving support. • Loading the sub-coil. Be sure to hook the tiny tension hook on the front edge of the bobbin case. it took me a few tries until I figured out why sometimes the bobbin thread "nests". I'm fine if you do everything right. • What was in the box was slightly different than what was in the manual when I described everything. Instead of two, there was only one large coil disc. Came with four coils instead of the three listed. It was trivial for me, so I didn't deduct any points for it. • It should come with a non-stick foot. That's my subtlety.
