#1) The keyboard only needs one AA battery. And the mouse only consumes one AA battery. So I need 2 more AAs to carry backup batteries. Other keyboards/mice use 4 AAA batteries together, which means you need to carry an extra 4 AAA batteries to all important meetings. I like to carry around and worry less #2) The F1 through F12 keys are a primary function, not a secondary one. GREAT if you use this for CAD modeling like me. #3) Arrow keys that aren't half the size/too small. I've used mini keyboards with awful little keys. It's not worth saving space if the end product doesn't work #4) The single key travel is very similar to that of full size keyboards. I work on an HP desktop for a corporate job and it's very easy to switch between these keyboards. #5) Aesthetics. The keyboard doesn't look too crazy. Personally I could do without the color red BUT it gets positive feedback from other people. #6) The mouse works on all surfaces I've tested mice on. table tops, magazine and book covers and of course works perfectly on a mouse pad. it is 1000 dpi. #7) Auto sleep, auto wake up. no power switch. #8) Low Voltage Indicator. The LED labeled "Flash” will flash when the battery reaches 1.0V #9) Power Consumption. Keyboard: working mode 4mA, after 3 seconds idle 0.2mA, after 8 minutes it goes to sleep and consumes almost 0. Mouse: 8.7mA working mode, after 1 minute idle 0.22mA, after 8 minutes almost 0 If for some reason the battery life isn't fantastic, I'll come back and change that point with more real-world experience. The instructions say the 2580mAh batteries will last 160 days if used 2 hours a day. Honestly. This is jam. If you like the look and like my 9 points above, you won't regret your purchase.
