Review on ๐Ÿ’ป Dell Inspiron 3583 15" Laptop Intel Celeron: Review, Specs, and Price by Ethan Delaney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Minor issues related to the current chip shortage.

Dell 3583 listed (Dell Specifications, page 12) with an 8th Gen Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor. I suspect that due to a "chip shortage" Dell was forced to dive into the old parts bin and ship this particular 3583 with an older - and MUCH lower specs - 5th Gen Pentium Gold processor with limited cache. To compensate for this, Dell also shipped this device with an M.2 SSD instead of a spinning hard drive. It was very nice of them. But the discrepancy appears to be causing some delay in getting things done, though not critically so. I may (probably) be wrong but I'm not a computer genius. It would be great if Dell finally spotted this order and shipped us a comparable Core i3 processor with realistic cache in the future. hey i can dream Also, 3583 comes with Win 10 Home (not in S mode). S mode sucks and the time it takes to reset is a pain. 2 carats
