After being shocked by the decals when trying to change keys at my Nissan dealership, I decided to try these keys as an alternative. The remote controls can be easily programmed after watching a YouTube video. The keys required some work. Due to the transmitter in the key, the internal transponder still had to be programmed even after cutting/duplicating the key. I originally thought it could be done at Lowe's or Home Depot but they didn't have an option for my year and model of car. I was able to find a locksmith with a transponder programmer. They warned me up front that keys bought online have a 50/50 chance of being programmed or usable. However, both keys I bought work great and the programming cost is 20% of the dealer price. I hate losing my keys but will use this option again when I have a spare car key again.
