The first unit I received was defective. After speaking to Kensington Technical Support for only about 10 minutes, they determined that the unit was behaving abnormally and advised me to return it immediately. Revain was replaced after a few days. The second device worked better than any other Thunderbolt dock I've tried with my 2020 16-inch MacBook Pros. It wakes the computer from sleep mode when you type on a connected keyboard or mouse. , the computer recognizes the connected monitor correctly and constantly and adapts to it, and best of all, the docking station controls my LG 38WN95C-W monitor with a resolution of 3840x2160 not only at 60 Hz, but also at 75 Hz, 120 Hz and 144 Hertz. It also has a power button to turn off the device, which is nice. If I could, I would change something about the design. I would like them to blink a few times or stay on long enough to show the current status and then dim or turn off completely. Also, I would prefer the Thunderbolt connector for the cable that connects to the computer , not on the front of the device, but on the back or even better on the side. This port layout is used in at least two other recently released docking stations: the OWC Thunderbolt Dock and the Sonnettech Echo 11 Thunderbolt 4 Dock. We must hold the OEM supplying the internal circuit board responsible for this design.
