Backlight works only via USB, No microphone

The headphones arrived intact, the packaging is not damaged. However, after opening it, I noticed that the microphone is missing, there is a hole where it should be. There are 2 USB ports and 3.5 AUX. The LEDs only work when connected via USB. And there are no instructions, I plugged the phone into AUX, turned the volume up all the way and heard nothing. I connected it to my laptop and it works fine via USB. So I think AuX is broken. I have requested a refund.
