Installed on an AMD Gigabyte Aorus X570 Ultra motherboard that comes with the Titan Ridge (Thunderbolt 3) controller of the previous generation is compatible. Although very well recognized, the Intel Thunderbolt Center refuses to authorize the external GPU case, provided that PCI tunneling is not enabled in the BIOS! Even if you disable device authorization and actually enable tunneling, it still doesn't work. My understanding is that TB4 requires Intel chipset and VT-d DMA protection. It sucks because I ended up buying a Titan Ridge TB3 and it works fine on my motherboard. Great Regression from Titanium Ridge. If you are purchasing an eGPU chassis compatible card for AMD boards, please purchase the Titan Ridge version instead. Get ready for the dreaded Code 12 fun on Windows. The value for money for this thing is negative for me personally. I was too lazy to return, maybe it will connect to another Intel board. This vendor lock-in to the Intel chipset on TB4 is a major regression from TB3 and just a money grab.
