Well, visually it looks great. Sits right above the TV and your eyes get used to it quickly so they don't become something you're drawn to when you're watching TV. The installation went quickly. Setup depends on your TV and its menu system, but mine (LG) was pretty easy to find and get started. As far as signal reception goes, of course it depends on where you live, where the TV is in the house etc. For me it doesn't pick up as many channels as my old flat antenna that you mounted on the wall. I can highlight a few of the most important ones, but one or two of them get digitally "distorted" every few seconds. You can of course move the antenna around, but that defeats the purpose of a better looking antenna on the TV. The backlight works well. It lights up when the TV is switched on and goes out when it is switched off. Mine stayed on for a while when I turned off the TV for some reason, but that only happened once. It is powered by the USB port on the back of the TV. I would recommend this, noting that if you live in a rural area you might need something more powerful. I would recommend the manufacturer to build a newer model with more range if they have one.
