Well-made recessed lighting with good color options

Hoping to update our kitchen, I removed our aging track lighting and installed these flat recessed lights. Having installed eight of the twelve lamps, I can recommend them with a clear conscience. These lamps are available in five color options ranging from warm white to cool white. I set mine to the second warmest option. They're bright enough, so much so that I'm glad I have a dimmer. The lights are very flat, just over half an inch deep, and they mount almost flush with the ceiling. Many cheap recessed lights fail because of the plastic clips that hold them to the ceiling. This set has good spring clips that create a lot of tension and won't break during installation. A cardboard template is included if you need to hand cut holes in drywall with a hacksaw, but I used a 6.3" hole saw. It was the perfect size to match these lights, with enough room to slide everything into the ceiling and then cover the hole with the edge of the light. Each light is supplied with its own junction box with easy-to-break knockouts. The length of the cord from the box to the lantern was sufficient. If you're replacing an existing light, you've got everything you need. If you're setting up a new system, however, you'll need to purchase wires separately to run from the light switch to the box and between the lights. I used 14/2 Romex. These lamps are very energy efficient and have an elegant frosted glass finish. They give my kitchen a fresh, modern look and I installed them without drama. That makes them worth almost $109 a set as far as I know. They are also great for bars, shop windows, lofts or any other hard-to-reach area where you need more light.
