Review on πŸ“» JESSON Portable Personal AM FM Pocket Radio with Digital Tuning, Stereo Sound, Earphone, and Rechargeable Battery for Walking by Jeremy Floyd

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It doesn't seem safe, the charging system is suspicious to say the least

I've been using it for a few days and the battery is dead showing only one of the 3 blocks it needs charging. The included instructions state that the supplied charging cable must be connected to a charger (you will use your own charger, not included) that will provide 1 to 3 amps of charging current at 5 volts and that the battery icon will flash and stop during charging to flash when the battery is fully charged. calculated. I used one of my chargers, a fully functional 2.5A GAN charger. After two hours the battery icon was still flashing. The battery in this thing is rated at 0.500mAh, so it should fully charge in less than 15 minutes. I then replaced another charger that provided 2.1A 5 volts and the icon was still flashing after an hour. Lithium-ion batteries are notoriously dangerous when overcharged. Sophisticated systems must be installed to prevent these batteries from literally bursting into flames. I don't trust this unit and have arranged for it to be sent back to Revain (they gave me a UPS label and I have to take it to the UPS store). I will be using the FM radio at the same price but powered by the 2x AAA I recently bought from Revain and staying away from devices that use lithium ion batteries. This one is sold by several vendors here at Revain, they just rename them. I would stay away from them.
