I had the same experience with the DPG-912 which is described very well in a report dated 05/20/10 by Christopher Bailey and I was hoping the company would keep quality control up to would improve four years later. Disappointing as I really wanted it to work! Revain did an excellent refund (as always) but didn't offer a replacement on return. I also ordered DP-44 (purse size) and DP-46 (cell phone size) at the same time. The DP-46 was waterproof (hooray!) but the DP-44 wasn't and I hope the spare DP-44 will do. I haven't decided yet if I'll try another of the DPG-912, although reviews indicate many of them work well. Moral of the story: It's very important to test these when you first get them - don't use your first time in the water with something valuable in your suitcase as your first test!
