This is amazing. I recently bought KZ EST for $17. They were great but nothing special. They fit pretty well but were a bit lacking at the bottom end although it was hard to tell until I got them. I'm disappointed I waited so long! These KZ IEMs are amazing. I have the QC35 and Sony M1000X2 in-ear headphones and I love the sound I get from these headphones. They don't have noise cancellation, but they fit great and block out a lot of ambient noise. For example I wouldn't drive in them even if there's no music playing, they deaden the sound of the road and the engine so much it's like a dream. I hate the hiss of Bluetooth headphones and the noise cancellation. The only thing my on-ears do better is bass, and only Sony allow you to literally vibrate your head, but it's hard to get it right and sometimes less is better. They sound amazing for the price, way better than mine. Bose Soundsport while KZ EST was more like Soundsport. They're more sensitive and actually get MUCH louder - and sound great at high volumes that make my ears ring! Be careful when using them to the maximum! At 3x the price of the EST, they're still only 1/3 or even 1/6 the price of branded headphones that sound better than them. The monitors feel sleek and comfortably heavier than my last pair. KZ, and they are comfortable to wear for hours and even lie on the side of your head! If you're thinking about getting them, just give it a try. I won't try other KZ models, I wanted one with 5 drivers and I liked the idea that all 5 would be balanced armature drivers. I would try others but I don't want to return anything, I'm afraid I'll just keep everything I bought! Some tips, these work great with your phone's built in headphone jack and equalizer. You can add bass if you want, but I prefer neutral and precise. Samsung has a "Customize Sound" mode - DO NOT use it. This creates a very bad noise not only with these headphones, but with all headphones from volume 26. I thought I screwed up my DAC but it was so obvious I could hear the hissing better at low volume! Recommended EQ setting: Lower the lowest frequency band one notch (far left). You can switch back and forth to see a little difference. I think most of the songs sound a little bit better. Update: It's been a week and I haven't used any other headphones. This is the first time for me! I love these so far. My only complaint is that it makes unprofessionally mixed songs (techno/electronic stuff, pop songs and remixes) really raw so you can tell when you're hearing a poorly mastered song. That's right, I complain they sound TOO good and make me search for better music.
